Bioproduktaufarbeitung
Downstream Processing (DSP) schließt an das Upstream Processing (USP) an und umfasst die Abtrennung, Reinigung, Aufkonzentrierung und Formulierung der in der Fermentation erzeugten Zielprodukte aus der Fermentationsbrühe. Die Bioproduktaufarbeitung kombiniert mechanische, thermische und physikalisch-chemische Verfahren und entscheidet häufig über die wirtschaftliche Tragfähigkeit des Gesamtverfahrens.
Ziel dieser Vorlesung ist die Einführung in die Grundoperationen des DSP — Zellinaktivierung, Fest-Flüssig-Trennung, Extraktion, Chromatographie, Präzipitation und Trocknung — sowie deren quantitative Auslegung. Im Fokus steht die Evaluierung von Gesamtprozessen, um spezifikationsgerechte und kostenoptimierte Produktqualität zu erreichen.

Was genau ist ein Plasma und wodurch zeichnet es sich aus? In dieser Vorlesung
wird das kollektive Verhalten von Ladungsträgern unter dem Einfluss von elektrischen
und magnetischen Feldern studiert. Beim Übergang zur Flüssigkeitsbeschreibung
des Plasmas helfen Details der Einzelteilchendynamik. Plasmagleichgewichte werden
im Rahmen der Magnetohydrodynamik behandelt, und es wird in die Analyse der
Stabilität solcher Gleichgewichte eingeführt.
Von der Gasentladung über die Ionosphäre bis zum Sonnenplasma: Plasmen als
ungeahnt weit verbreitete Form der Materie bieten breite Anwendungsmöglichkeiten.
Diese Vorlesung bietet die Grundlagen zum Basisverständnis eines Plasmas bzw.
dessen Dynamik.
