Workshops for Ph.D. Students, Post-Docs, and Researchers

Workshops in English and German provided by the Language Center | Sprachenzentrum in 2024/25
The following workshops are free of charge for Ph.D. students, post-docs, researchers, and employees of the University of Stuttgart.
- Enter the respective workshop below to enroll. Register with your email address, and select your role at the University of Stuttgart. If you register, you are expected to attend; otherwise, make sure to free up your spot in due time (at least 2 weeks before the start of the workshop) for one of your fellow colleagues at the University of Stuttgart
- If you only want to check out the course description/information of a respective workshop, just use the "Info" option on the right, and do not register for the workshop
- The following workshops are for members of the University of Stuttgart only
- For each workshop, there are 10-12 spots. If the respective workshop is full, you will be put on the waiting list
- If you cannot attend a workshop or have further questions, please make sure to contact: workshop-english@sz.uni-stuttgart.de
- Workshop materials will be provided before the respective course date
- Please make sure to carefully read the workshop information as well as the certificate information of each workshop

English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) | EMI Navigator Program - Helping you doing your best teaching in English
The EMI Navigator Program supports instructors implementing their best teaching in English through an individualized and adaptable program.
The Mini-Course Program of the Writing Center English is intended for students, PhD students, and researchers on all levels who would like to begin to write or to develop their existing academic writing and speaking skills further, and are looking for a flexible course offer to fit their schedule and individual academic needs.

The Science Communication | Short Course Program is designed to assist students (both undergraduate and graduate), researchers, instructors as well as administrative and management staff with communicating and promoting their research ideas, proposals, projects and results to lay people (i.e. non-experts) in order to reach a wider audience and transfer ideas to society as a whole.
