Advanced CMOS Devices and Technology - Exercises
Dedicated tutorial sessions introduce the finite element modeling of advanced Microsystems. An emphasis is laid on the capability to couple multiple physics in a single model, including solid mechanics, electrostatic, electromagnetic and electro-thermal coupling. The students will learn how to conceive and engineer a microsystem process flow and design, and predict performance by multi-physics finite element analysis.

Advanced CMOS Devices and Technology - Lecture
This course introduces micro- and nanofabrication techniques for CMOS technology and discusses their application to selected advanced micro- and nanosystems. Wafer based manufacturing techniques based on lithography, etching and thin film deposition will be introduced and discussed at examples of Micro- and Nanosystems such as MEMS Pressure Sensors, Microphones, Inertial Sensors, Optical Microsystems and Integrated Photonics. Notions specific to microfabrication and the concept of scaling laws are introduced and elucidated at commonly implemented examples. The unit includes a hands-on design and modelling part introducing modern multi-physics finite element analysis.

Die Veranstaltung umfasst Vorlesung und Übungen (2/1 SWS), eine Laborübung "Planspiel Energiehandel" zu der eine Anmeldung nach Bekanntgabe der Termine in den ersten Wochen des Semesters hier in der ilias-Gruppe notwendig ist und eine Exkursion im Juni/Juli deren Termin/Anmeldung auch hier erfolgt. Vorlesung/Übungen sind immer Di 15:45 bis 17:15 V47.05 und Fr 11:30 bis 13:00 V57.06. Da nur 2/1 SWS werden ein 6 der wöchentlichen Termine ausfallen, vgl. Campus (weitere Ausfälle werden im Laufe des Semesters bekannt gegeben und sind tendenziell eher gegen Ende des Semesters).

Die Veranstaltung gibt einen Überblick über die verschiedenen
Arbeitsfelder der Bionik und legt einen Schwerpunkt auf
Anwendungen in der Biomedizinischen Technik. Die Studierenden
lernen die bionische Denkweise kennen und erhalten einen
Einblick in das Potential der Bionik für Lösungen zu zentralen
technische Problemen. Sie lernen aber auch die Grenzen des oft
überschätzen Hoffnungsträgers Bionik kennen und lernen echte
Bionik von Pseudobionik, Technischer Biologie und Bioinspiration
zu unterscheiden.

Aufbauend auf die Einführungsveranstaltung "Plasmaphysik I" werden Grundlagen weiterführend vertieft: Als Flüssigkeit modelliert wird das ggf. magnetisierte Plasma als Medium zur Ausbreitung elektrostatischer und -magnetischer Wellen in deren Beschreibung integriert. So können Propagation und Absorption von Wellen zu diagnostischen Zwecken oder zur Heizung von Plasmen verstanden werden. Die plasmakinetische Beschreibung erlaubt das Verständnis des Plasmas als Flüssigkeit aus Grundprinzipien heraus. Mehr noch, können damit stoßbehaftete Transportphänomene beschrieben und Transportkoeffizienten abgeleitet werden. Ein Teilaspekt ist das Entwicklungsverhalten von Störungen in der Verteilungsfunktion, die z.B. mit Teilchenstrahlen in das Plasma eingebracht und zur Heizung des Plasmas genutzt werden können.

Systemtechnische Planungsmethoden in der Energiewirtschaft
Herzlich Willkommen!
Das Modul umfasst Vorlesungen und Übungen (2/1 SWS), die wöchentlich Mo 14:00 bis 15:30 V27.03 und Fr 09:45 bis 11:15 V09.02. Da rechnerisch in Summe dafür nur 3 SWS anzusetzen sind, werden 5 Termine davon ausfallen, die teilweise bereits in Campus gekennzeichnet sind. Die verbleibenden ausfallenden Termine werden eher gegen Ende des Semesters sein und noch bekannt gegeben werden. Welche Termine die Übungen stattfinden, wird dann auch vorab hier und in der Veranstaltung angekündigt.
Darüber hinaus gehört, wie im Modulhandbuch beschrieben, noch eine Laborübung "Prognoselabor" dazu. Diese Veranstaltung findet als Blockveranstaltung an 2 Terminen statt, die in dieser Gruppe hier und in Campus dann noch separat bekannt gegeben werden und für die sie sich bitte dann anmelden, sobald dies möglich ist (wir werden für ausreichend Plätze sorgen).
