The placement test you are about to take consists of five texts, which are arranged in order of difficulty. Read each passage below and fill in the missing letters, so that the words created fit grammatically and logically into the entire text. Half of the letters of every second word starting in the second sentence have been left out. For example, if a word is eight letters long, then four letters are missing. If a word is five letters long, however, then two or three letters are missing. You should spend no more than five minutes on each passage. Note that C-Tests are quite challenging and that you are not expected to get a perfect score. Try your best and good luck!

You only have 25 minutes for the test. After that time is up, you cannot go back, nor make any changes.

Please click "Test beenden" when you have finished the test; otherwise, ILIAS is going to grade you automatically as "nicht bestanden."

You cannot interrupt the test. Tests that have been started, but not completed, cannot be redone.

Only move in one direction through the test. You cannot return to a previous section of the test.

You can take the test only once.
