This is the second part of a two-semester course that will introduce you to the field of atomic physics, from its foundations all the way to state-of-the-art research topics.
This course will be taking place in a hybrid in-person/online format. I will upload pre-recorded lectures to ILIAS every week. Please ask questions about these lectures anytime, either by email or through the discussion board in ILIAS. Moreover, we will have an in-person Q&A session Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in V57.01, in order to resolve open questions or to have discussions about the content of the lectures. This meeting is optional, i.e. you can attend, but this is not mandatory to complete the course.
In addition to the lectures there will also be exercise classes, which will take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 3:45 pm (roughly) every other week, just like last semester.
